Magic Day (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Magic Day mobile application and related services (the “Service”).

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your full name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash). We never store your password in plain text.

Trip & Preference Data

We collect information you provide when planning park visits, including trip dates, selected parks, attraction preferences, priorities, and itinerary details.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including features used, screens visited, actions taken, and timestamps.

Device Information

We collect device type, operating system, app version, and a device identifier to support push notifications and session management.

Location Information

Magic Day does not continuously track your location. If you enable location features, approximate location may be used to improve park-specific recommendations. You can disable this at any time in your device settings.

Communications

If you contact us, we retain your messages to respond to inquiries and improve support.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Create and manage your account
  • Generate personalized AI itinerary recommendations
  • Send transactional emails (email verification, password resets)
  • Deliver push notifications you have authorized
  • Improve AI models and platform performance using anonymized, aggregated data
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. AI & Third-Party Services

Magic Day uses third-party services to power core functionality:

Anthropic (Claude)

AI model used to generate itinerary recommendations and re-planning suggestions. Trip context is sent to Anthropic's API to produce results.

Resend

Transactional email delivery. Your email address is shared with Resend solely to send you emails from Magic Day.

Stripe

Payment processing for Magic Day credit purchases. We do not store your payment card details.

Theme park data providers

Wait times and park schedule data from public and licensed sources. No personal data is shared with these providers.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Anonymized, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely to improve the Service.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only:

  • With third-party service providers listed above, strictly to provide the Service
  • When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process
  • To protect the rights, safety, or property of Magic Day or others
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (you will be notified)

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), hashed password storage, access controls, and token-based authentication. No system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

7. Children's Privacy

Magic Day is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based

9. Push Notifications

We may send push notifications for itinerary updates, wait-time alerts, and re-planning suggestions. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
